Check out this downtown Seattle wedding venue with a great rooftop!

A gorgeous rooftop venue in the heart of Belltown

I planned and designed the open house for First & Bell: downtown Seattle's newest wedding venue. In April, their owner asked me to plan and design an open house for her new venue, as they were just starting to open up their event space for weddings. I met with her at First & Bell, and I loved the place! It's a great mix of industrial and glam with 20-foot high ceilings, dripping chandeliers, exposed brick, and a beautiful rooftop that would make for a really fun reception spot!

So I got to work. I have really been wanting to pull inspiration from the PNW, the gray-blue Puget Sound, evergreen trees, white-capped Mt. Rainier, and our golden summer sunsets. With a color palette of dusty gray, forest green, ivory, and golden champagne, I created this beautiful tablescape. I also shared my design board with the florist, Karrie Michelle Floral Design, the stationary designer, Caracol Creative, the calligraphy artist, Cynthia Creates, and A|C Events who helped set up the lights and decorations. All rentals were provided by Cort Party Rentals (Thank you Jana! Hope the baby is doing well <3) from the linens, to the plates, to the glasses, they were so accommodating and a great help when I was selecting the decore. With their help, we pulled together this very sophisticated cohesive look that we really loved.

I wanted the open house to be designed as if someone actually was going to get married, so I had all the different kinds of vendors you need at a wedding.

Officiated by Yajaira Garcia-Pena with Garcia Mobile Services, who does weddings in both English and Spanish, she is a military spouse with a ton of heart and that definitely shows through in her work.

The suit was by Generation Tux, a super convenient and modern way to get your suit rentals for all your groomsmen. The dress was by Evon Bridal. Eugina, their owner, is super sweet and only holds exclusive one-on-one dress fittings so all her clients can feel special and comfortable while looking for the dress for them.

Desserts were baked with love by Christine of Sweet Whiskey Bakery. Christine and I actually went to college together and so many times we spoke about starting our own business, and we finally did it! Christine made super cute and tasty mini pies for the pie bar, which is a great alternative to cake if you want to go the non-traditional route.

We also had Christa Seals from Christa's Concerto come with her violin. Y'all, SHE CAN PLAY THE GAME OF THRONES THEME SONG. Nuff said.

Make up was done by the lovely Yoana Fonseca of Beauty by Yoana. She was nice enough to help me get ready for the event too. After I finished setting up, I was a hot mess, no make up on, hair everywhere. She helped me look put together for all the people I said hi to later on. Thanks Yoana!!

Our awesome DJ was DJ Baby Van Beezly who is just exploding on the Seattle scene right now. She kept the vibe going and was so prepared.

We also had Sandra from Lashfullee come by and show off her amazing lash skills. If I've ever shared this story with you, you know I lost my falsies on my wedding day, so I now always advocate for lash extensions if the bride is interested. It's so much more convenient and you don't have to worry about them coming off if you cry! Sandra Lee is the best!

Our hotel block sponsor was the Kimpton Palladian Hotel, with super luxurious rooms and the BEST restaurant in their hotel, Shaker + Spear, it's so easy and convenient to get to First & Bell if you stay there.

For our outdoor fun, Seattle Giant Letters brought by "I DO" which made the best Instagram photo spot, and Off the Block's lawn games to keep our rooftop guests entertained while they ate and drank yummy food from Madres Kitchen.

The open house was photographed by Will Lemke from First & Bell and Janet Kim Photography. I met Janet through a wedding class run by Reneille of Cake and Lace. Janet did such a great job capturing the moody, golden vibe of the event. Will captured some great candids of the crowd inside and on the roof.

It was a great event, thank you to everyone who participated and stopped by. My birthday was actually that weekend and it made my heart really happy to see everyone come through!
